Aaron goofing around on Christmas day!

Bryon called last week (over the boys Thanksgiving break) wanting to borrow some paintball equipment as his family was in for the holiday. The boys sprung into action and next thing you know the paintball maniacs were at it again!!

Walnut picking season is in full swing! Our house is no exception. Austin and Aaron have been picking these black walnuts up on and off for a week now. They were traveling the dirt roads in search of places that hadn't been harvested yet. Most of the people they have asked have been nice and let them pick but some have been snots about it. Good grief, they are just kids wanting a little extra spending money and right now is the highest they've been at $13 a hundred after hulling. They are messy, leaving black icky crap that permanently stains clothes and hands as well. Picking walnuts is not HARD work but it is tiresome and hurts one's back by the end of the day. Not to mention being covered in ticks and mosquito bites! But...by the time they travel to Letterman Feeds and weigh in, it is worth the effort :)

Sunday evening we attended the Springfield Cardinals baseball game with Bryon, Lisa and Grace. The weather was absolutely perfect for it with a cool breeze and clear skies. We had great seats, thanks to Lisa's employer, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. Grace was soooooo excited to see Louie, the mascot. She about stroked out when she saw him in person...bless her heart, she just shrieked LOUIIIIIEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! Her eyes just danced and she was full of awe when her daddy took her down to meet him, face to face!! Oh, my! The excitement in that child was priceless.
We all ended up leaving early due to having to get up for school and work the next morning. When we left, the Cards were losing. When we woke up Monday, we found they went into ten innings and WON!! Hooray for them! That would've been a great game to be able and stay for the entirety.
